Lottery Singapore – How Lottery Singapore Works

Lottery Singapore

There is no denying that Lottery Singapore is one of the most popular gambling activities in this country. The lottery operator, Singapore Pools, offers three main kinds of games – 4D, Toto, and Singapore Sweep. Each game has its own rules and operates differently.

4D is a fixed-odds game that draws from Germany, Malaysia, and Singapore. The game is operated by Singapore Pools and can be played at any of its outlets throughout the country.

Toto is a 6/49 game that is drawn twice a week at 6:30 pm (SG time). It’s available at most Singapore Pools outlets and requires a small investment to buy a ticket. The minimum cost to play is $1, while the highest system bet is $924 Singapore dollars.

The results are published every Monday and Thursday at 6.30pm (SG time). TOTO is a legitimate lottery form sold by Singapore Pools, which spends all profit they generate on charity and other legitimate work.

Winnings above $5,000 are disbursed in cheques at the Singapore Pools Main Branch, located at 210 Middle Road. The outlet is open from Mondays to Fridays, 8am – 4.30pm, excluding public holidays.

The winner should present their winning tickets and identification, such as NRIC or passports, at the Singapore Pools Main Branch to collect their prize money. They also need to ensure that their identity matches their bank records before collecting their winnings. In the event that they don’t have access to these documents, their winnings will be forfeited and channelled to donations and charitable grants managed by the Tote Board after 180 days.
